TOP 5 WAYS TO KNOW YOU ARE READY TO DIET FOR A SHOW.
It’s that time of year and everyone wants to get on stage, but how do you know you are truly ready? You are ready to diet for a show if you can answer these below listed in no particular order…
– You are willing to prep and have food ready and even take your meals with you no matter what. (if you dread this or wont make the time, you arent ready to diet for a show)
– You are willing to do cardio (ah fuck!) no matter what without missing a session. (if you skip cardio or just arent doing it 110% you arent ready to diet for a show)
– If you are willing to give up cheat meals. (if you cant keep from ordering out food or eating a big piece of cake at the b-day party you arent ready to diet for a show.)
– If you think about getting on stage every day, or think about the process and crave it. (if you arent driven and have a burning desire to get on stage, you arent ready to do a show. trust me I have tried it multiple times it wont work. there is a huge difference in dieting because you dont wanna be “fat” and dieting to get completely shredded.)
– If your calories are up and you have had a good offseason. (if you just did a show this past fall you are shooting yourself, your physique, and metab right in the foot and arent ready to diet for a show.)
Bonus- if you are willing to HURT, be grouchy, and dead ass tired towards the end of your prep and fight through it. (if you cant take that painful feeling that comes with being lean, you def arent ready to diet for a show)
Bonus BONUS- if you are willing to spend a shitload of money on supps, shows entry, tan, possibly a coach and not get a damn dime back. (no one makes money competing!)
Bonus BONUS BONUS- if you are willing to give up having sex as often because you only have enough energy to workout and do cardio. (HAHA! yeah I said it)
